David Wilder Photography becomes iPhone friendly

Hello Hello

3 entries... I'm on fire... lol

So as most of you know or don't know not my site is flash based (a design program that creates very cool animations and effects).

The advantage is that the site looks pretty cool when you navigate through it and the images are pretty much protected in the site because it plays on the web as a "video".

The disadvantage is that no all computers can play flash websites, more specifically iPhones, iPods, iPads.

Therefore I decided to revisit my sites and make them iPhone friendly. I did this by going back into the template and finding the html (basic website make up that all computers can read) parts of my site, made some changes then posted them.

Now I have both the flash version and the html versions on the internet. How it works is when someone clicks on either "commercial site" or "portrait site" the very first thing that happens is the site runs a code to check what type of computer/device the site is being viewed on and in turn runs the appropriate version of the site.

Pretty cool I think, I learned a lot about code and script for website programming and had some help from a good friend (thanks Jenny)

So give it a shot try it on a iPhone, iPod, iPad and if there are any issues let me know.

You can also view the new versions on any computer just enter these url's

Worth the Struggle

Hey Everyone

I know...I know... It has been a while since my last post... My bad... Things have been slow lately around here and when I saw slow I mean like non existent.

But just last night my good friend Logan unknowingly reminded me why I do what I do. We were out for drinks when I noticed he had something interesting on his cell phone.

It is such a great feeling to know that my hard work brings someone a happy thoughts on a daily basis.

Even though times get rough and life sometimes becomes a struggle it's moment like this that make it all worth it.

Ciao
