Exhibit Opening and Meteors

This week I headed up to Edmonton to see the exhibit done by the Metro photo challenge that had my image in it for the top ten in the places catagory.

It takes just seconds.

Anyhow, while I was in Edmonton killing time on my iPhone I read on Facebook that there was a meteor shower happening that night. So I left the opening early and headed back to Calgary.

Back tracking a bit, on my way to Edmonton I stopped at a abandoned barn outside of Didsbury Alberta it was pretty cool falling over and such, so I took some pics of it.

Back to the rest of the story, as I was returning home I decided to stop back at the same barn to use it as my anchor point for a Star Trail and Time Lapse Video. While I was out there I was in hopes of catching a meteor to my dismay the meteor was very uneventful.

However I did catch one meteor by luck, it came in the quickest flash of light as was gone some fast, it was also very near.

I thought that it was pretty cool not to mention the next few frames after you can see the smoke from the meteor this leads me to believe it was really close.
